Data Science for fundamental sciences and engineering


Second year schedule: a help to select your exams.

The student needs to select one 12 CFU exam (domain methodology: table 1), 2 exams of 6 CFU (Table 2), and 12 CFU of free choice. For the methodology and domain CFUs the student is recommended to select exams of the same type: (SB = Fundamental Sciences, EN = Enginnering). For other combinations the study plan needs to be approved by the board of the master (CCS).

Some simple rules need to be followed:
  1. Domain Methodology Exam. This 12 CFU exam may be either a 12 CFU course or the sum of two 6 CFUs modules (a few examples are given). They need to be picked up from Table 1. It can also be picked up (only for 12 CFU courses) from Table 2 but, if this is the case, the two domain exams need to be selected from Table 1 either as two 6 CFU modules of a course intended to be offered as 12 CFU's or as 2 courses of 6 CFUs each (always among those in Table 1).
  2. Domain Exams. They need to be selected among those listed in Table 2. The above rule needs to be kept in mind.
  3. Free Choice exams. As the name says, these are 12 free choice CFU's which can be selected preferably among all the courses offered by the Polytechnic and fundamental Sciences Schhol. A good solution could be to pick up exams from either Table 2 or Table 1.
